A friendly, professional service
We believe a veterinary clinic shouldn’t be a scary place to visit. That’s why we take time to get to know you and your pets to put you and them at ease. We like to get to know clients and their pets as individuals. This helps us to tailor treatments to you and your pet’s unique situations.
We are a small independent practice with a longstanding team. You’ll find a familiar set of faces that are here to look after you and your pets.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY
Jim has always advised the appropriate moment and, supported by the nurses and receptionist, has been there to provide sympathy and deal with our loss with compassion and understanding - they are all ‘animal people’, not just in it for the money.
I cannot thank Jim and everyone at the practice enough for all the care they have given to our furry feline and canine ‘little children’; their consummate professionalism and competence allied with care and compassion when times are hard have helped us through some dark times, particularly when that dreaded decision has to be made.
I always recommend Jim and his team to anyone looking for a veterinary practice for their new pet, this with the knowledge that their animals will receive the best care possible in caring and pleasant surroundings.
I have been a client of Albany Veterinary Clinic for more than 20 years and wouldn’t dream of taking my dogs anywhere else despite travelling from Chaepl-en-le-Frith! The staff are wonderful, caring and friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble. My dogs are always excited to go the vets which says it all to me.
We have been with the Albany Veterinary Practice for nearly thirty years and have known Jim for most of that time; in this period Jim and his dedicated team of nurses and receptionists have looked after a total of six cats, Tigger, Bootsie, Sooty, Dusty, Ollie and Shadow and four dogs, Paddy, Molly, Finbar and Bridget - over the years Jim and everyone at the practice have provided veterinary care, advice, compassion and sympathy.
